The reason for this notice
This page describes the methods used to manage the Askoll Aqurium website, in relation to processing of the personal data of users visiting it. This information notice is also provided pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30th June 2003 (hereinafter Persona Data Protection Act) to those interacting with the web services of Askoll Aquarium, which can be accessed electronically from the addresses:
corresponding to the home page of the Askoll Aquarium websites.
The information notice is provided only for Askoll Aquarium websites and not for any other websites visited by the user via links.
The information notice is also based on Recommendation No. 2/2001 that the European Authority for the protection of personal data, together with the Working Party set up by Article 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC adopted on 17th May 2001 to establish specific minimum requirements for the online collection of personal data and, in particular, the methods, times and kind of information that data controllers must provide users with when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purposes of this connection.
The data controller
After consultation of this website, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed. The data controller is Askoll Uno srl, with registered office in Via Luigi Galvani 24, 36066 Sandrigo VI - Italia.
The various sections of the website indicate the data processors, if data is processed.
Place in which data is processed
Data pertaining to the web services of this website are processed at the aforesaid registered office and are handled only by Askoll UNO personnel in charge of processing.
No personal data deriving from the web service is disseminated.
The personal data supplied by users are used only to perform the service requested and are only communicated to third parties if strictly necessary for this purpose.
Type of data processed
The IT systems and software processes used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in use of the Internet, which is based on the TCP/IP protocol.
This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but which, due to their nature, could allow users of the website to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties.
This category of data includes the “IP addresses” or domain names of computers utilized by users who connect to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the web server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply given by the web server (successful outcome, error, etc…) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to ensure that the Askoll Aquarium website operates correctly.
It is specified that the aforesaid data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of computer crimes against the Askoll Aquarium website, or other websites linked or connected to it: except in this case, data on web contacts are currently not retained for more than a few days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The request to send email to the addresses indicated in the specific section of the Askoll Aquarium website entails the subsequent acquisition of some personal data regarding the sender, including the sender’s email address, which is required to reply to requests.
The data provided will not be communicated to third parties and will be used exclusively to reply to questions asked or requests made, keeping them for the time necessary for that purpose.
Voluntary nature of providing personal data
With the exception of what was specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide his/her personal data given in the specific electronic request forms in the sections of the website set up for particular on-demand services.
However, we must point out that failure to provide this data may make it impossible to fulfil the request.
Method of processing and safety measures
Personal data are processed with automated and non-automated instruments, only for the time strictly necessary to attain the objectives for which they were collected. Specific security measures are taken to prevent loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use and unauthorized access.
In particular, in the sections of the website set up for particular services, where the user is asked for personal data, data are encrypted via a safe technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL technology encrypts information before it is exchanged over the Internet between the user’s processor and the central systems of Askoll UNO srl, making it incomprehensible to unauthorized parties and thereby guaranteeing the confidentiality of the information transmitted.
The use of SSL also requires a compatible browser, capable of “exchanging” a security key with a minimum length of 128 bits, required to establish the aforesaid secure connection with the central systems of Askoll Aquarium.
Data subjects’ rights
The subjects to which any personal data collected in the aforesaid specific section refer are entitled, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence of these data and to be informed of their content and origin, check their accuracy or request their integration or updating, or to obtain rectification pursuant to Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Act.
The data subject has the right to request erasure, anonymization, and to object in any case to their processing for legitimate reasons.
Any requests must be sent to:
